Robert Barbichon established the family estate, now overseen by Thomas and Maxime, near Gyé-sur-Seine on the Côte des Bar, spanning 9 hectares with 17 distinct plots in Gyé-sur-Marne, Elles-sur-Ource, Courteron, and Neuville-sur-Seine. Predominantly clay and limestone-based south-facing vines, averaging 40 years, feature Pinot Noir grapes, complemented by Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and the rare Pinot Blanc. Certified organic since 2007, the estate adopted biodynamic practices in 2012 as per Demeter recommendations. Embracing a minimum intervention approach in viticulture, horse ploughs prevent soil compaction. Meticulously selecting the finest grape material ensures a carefully crafted harvest.
