Organic Sauvignon Blanc You Can Buy Online With Confidence

Sauvignon Blanc has a way of fitting almost any occasion - a weeknight dinner, a warm afternoon, a last-minute gift that actually lands well. What it does not always have is transparency about how it was made. Every bottle in this collection is certified organic, which means the grower made a deliberate choice to work with fewer chemicals in the vineyard and fewer additives in the winery.

The FAB wine team tastes every bottle in this collection before it earns a place here. We are not filling a shelf — we are sharing the wines we actually open at home, recommend to friends, and reach for when the occasion matters.

Not sure where to start? The Loveblock Awatere Valley 2023 at $30 is the one our customers return to most. The Dauny Sancerre at $55 is the one we save for the moments that deserve something special.

Orders over $200 ship free. If you would rather browse in person and have a chat with the team first, you will find us in Surry Hills. And if you are curious about what else we carry, the full organic and preservative-free range is a good place to keep exploring.

Loveblock — Awatere Valley Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2023

Loveblock grows in the Awatere Valley, the cooler southern pocket of Marlborough, where a longer growing season produces wines with sharper focus and cleaner lines than the warmer valley floors further north. The 2023 is dry and lively — citrus blossom, a hint of crushed herb, and a finish that stays with you. It is certified organic, and it drinks exactly as well on a Tuesday as it does on a special occasion. Pour it cold alongside grilled fish, a green salad, or fresh goat's cheese.

Greystone — Sauvignon Blanc 2023

If you usually reach for Marlborough and want to try something with a bit more texture, Greystone is the answer. They work from the Waipara Valley in Canterbury — cooler, quieter, and less well known than Marlborough, which suits them fine. The 2023 has structure and restraint, with a dry, layered mid-palate that makes it feel more substantial than the price suggests. A good bottle for the table rather than the aperitif. Try it with pan-seared snapper, roast chicken with herbs, or a simple dressed pasta.

Questions We Get Asked

What does certified organic actually mean for wine?

It means the grower has committed to farming without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilisers in the vineyard, and the winemaker has agreed to avoid a long list of additives that are otherwise permitted in conventional winemaking. In Australia, that commitment is verified by an independent body — ACO or NASAA — who inspect and certify the property each year. It is not a marketing claim. It is an audited standard, and every bottle in this collection carries that verification.

What is natural Sauvignon Blanc and how is it different from what you stock?

Natural Sauvignon Blanc is made with as little intervention as possible — wild yeast fermentation instead of added commercial yeasts, no fining or filtration, and little to no added sulphites. The result can be textured, cloudy, and more unpredictable than a conventional wine, which is part of the appeal for people who seek it out. The organic Sauvignon Blancs in this collection sit close to that philosophy without always carrying the natural wine label. Producers like Loveblock and Greystone farm organically and work with a light hand in the winery — so if natural wine is what you are drawn to, these bottles share that sensibility. If you want to explore the full preservative-free end of the range, the organic and preservative-free collection is where to look.

Does organic wine taste different to regular wine?

It can, though not in the way people sometimes expect. Organic wine does not taste healthier or lighter — it tastes like the place it came from, because the winemaker has chosen to let the fruit speak rather than correct it with additives. Some people notice more complexity and a cleaner finish. Others simply notice they enjoy the glass. Either way, the wines in this collection were chosen because they taste good — the certification is a bonus, not the reason we stocked them.

How do I know which bottle to choose?

Start with your budget and the occasion. The Pig In The House at $21 and the Soho Pink Sheep at $22 are easy, crowd-pleasing bottles that work for almost any table. The Loveblock 2023 at $30 is the one our customers return to most — it is precise, fresh, and reliable. If you want something with more depth and texture, Greystone at $26 or the Loveblock TEE at $32 are worth the extra few dollars. And if the occasion deserves a serious bottle, the Dauny Sancerre at $55 will not disappoint. If you are still not sure, come and find us in Surry Hills — the team is happy to help you choose.
