Tasting Notes

An NV skin-contact field blend from Barossa Valley winemakers Wayne Ahrens and Suzi Hilder. This multi-vintage release was shaped by the 2025 hail damage, with the blend carefully composed to retain the wine’s signature balance, character and vibrancy. Aromas of sun-warmed hay and soft talc open into delicate lozenge sweetness, orange rind and fresh ginger. Initially restrained, it becomes increasingly expressive with time in the glass. Full and dry, the palate is layered and textural, with fine, grainy tannins that will appeal to red wine drinkers exploring skin-contact whites. Persistent, complex and deeply satisfying, it finishes with impressive depth and length.
