James Suckling

Dense and flavorful nose delivers aromas of vanilla, mulberries, dark plums, graphite and baking spices. Full-bodied and dark on the palate, underscoring concentration and marked flavors of black fruits and spices. Fine-grained tannins create tension to the palate. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

Robert Parker

Floral, peppery, vanilla-laden and backed by hints of stone fruit and blackberries, it's a full-bodied, mouth-coating wine that's massively concentrated, yet elegant enough on the finish to pull off this high wire act without coming across as an oaf-like caricature. It's approachable now, but it should have at least a decade of longevity ahead of it.

Mas Becha

Charles Perez, a wine visionary from Perpignan, France, sought wine excellence by mastering winemaking in Bordeaux and the US. Armed with an OIV Master of Science and visits to over 20 wine-producing nations, he became the vineyard manager at Mas Becha in 2001. In 2008, he revitalized the 110-hectare estate, preserving only the finest terroirs and spanning three hills from 55 to 100 meters altitude. A devotion to impeccable grape health reigns in the vineyard with meticulous practices. Charles crafts balanced, luscious wines in the cellar, marrying modern techniques with terroir respect. His wines showcase the perfect harmony of fruit and terroir expression. Beyond the vineyards and cellar, Charles is an epicurean globetrotter, sharing his wines and philosophy with peers and wine enthusiasts worldwide.
