Tasting Notes

Vincenzo Cesani's lifelong dedication to the family farm seamlessly combines technological innovation with a deep respect for local traditions. This harmonious approach has earned the winery recognition and admiration, both locally and in the industry's most prestigious publications. Cesani's 'Luenzo' IGT Toscana Rosso 2013 presents a deep ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose is characterized by pronounced notes of wild strawberries and raspberry, complemented by subtle hints of wood and leather. On the palate, it offers a broad and robust profile, featuring dense yet silky tannins that harmonize with lively acidity, making it an inviting wine to savor. Subtle fruit nuances and peppery undertones add to the complexity. It showcases the elegance and aromatic richness of Sangiovese, coupled with substantial power and presence on the palate. An excellent value for money, unquestionably one of the finest red wines produced in San Gimignano.

Cesani

The Cesani family's journey began in 1949 when Guido and Annunziata, the family's founders, acquired their first piece of land in Pancole, 6 km from San Gimignano. Initially, they focused on subsistence farming and cattle breeding, but their son Vincenzo's leadership transformed the business into a renowned wine producer. Today, Vincenzo's daughters, Letizia and Marialuisa, carry on the family's values and traditions, reshaping the estate into a dynamic agricultural and winemaking venture that embodies the region's essence. The Cesani Family's philosophy centers on understanding nature's gifts, agricultural expertise, and the human touch. Their commitment to organic farming, preserving the local ecosystem, and biodiversity reflects a deep respect for both nature and humanity. Their company transcends mere business, fostering relationships built on solidarity and collaboration, with a mission to celebrate their region's natural and human heritage.
