Tasting Notes

Domaine des Masques Syrahdictive 2018 reveals an elegant side of Provence. Grown on the Cengle plateau at around 500 metres beneath Montagne Sainte-Victoire, this organically farmed red combines southern sunshine with vineyard freshness. Savoury aromas of leather and forest floor open into raspberry, cherry and blood orange, with subtle floral and balsamic notes. The palate is fresh and supple, with delicate tannins, expressive red fruit and hints of dried herbs.

Winemaking Style:Traditional

Harvest:Syrahdictive is made from carefully selected vineyard parcels and hand-harvested grapes. Bunches were destemmed without crushing before entering the fermentation vat.

Winemaking:Extraction is managed through pump-overs and punch-downs, adjusted according to tasting. The wine matures in oak barrels for approximately 18 months, followed by blending and further resting in tank, with light filtration before bottling

Viticulture:Set on the secluded Cengle plateau at the foot of Montagne Sainte-Victoire, the vineyards sit approximately 500 metres above sea level. Clay-limestone soils over limestone bedrock, with rocky scree across the slopes, define this distinctive Provençal terroir.

Food Pairing:Slow-cooked beef bourguignon, Grilled rib-eye, Roast lamb with rosemary and garlic, Mushroom and lentil ragù with polenta
