Tasting Notes

This Syrah opens with a distinctive character, highlighting red fruits and subtle sweet spice notes. It achieves a harmonious equilibrium, gracefully blending the wild allure of blackberries with the zesty brightness of red fruits, offering a delightful and sweet introduction. As the wine breathes, its aromatic profile evolves into nuanced hints of cherry, a dash of white pepper, delicate traces of cocoa powder, and a subtle infusion of velvety vanilla. These intricacies contribute depth and the desired complexity to the wine. The palate faithfully delivers on its promise of balance and harmony, with structured, lively tannins seamlessly integrated. Tactile freshness, underscores the hallmarks of an exceptional vintage.

Domaine du Peizon

In early 2012, a significant opportunity beckoned for Guillaume Belle, the son of Philippe Belle, as he embarked on a new chapter in his winemaking journey. After a few years of toiling within the family estate, he ventured into acquiring the Domaine du Peizon in the charming commune of Beaumont-Monteux, nestled within the Crozes-Hermitage appellation. It all began in 2010, when this young winemaker embarked on a quest for knowledge through various courses and hands-on experiences. These invaluable lessons laid the foundation for his tenure at the family estate, where he honed his skills alongside his father, Philippe Belle, a seasoned vintner. Today, the domain flourishes across 6 hectares, with 5 hectares dedicated to the cultivation of the Syrah grape variety and an additional 1 hectare reserved for Roussanne and Marsanne. Guided by a commitment to organic farming, the objective is clear - to craft wines of the utmost quality.
