Tasting Notes

Domaine Huguenot Marsannay Champs Perdrix 2022 is a more open and expressive rendition of this cuvée, reflecting the generosity of the vintage while retaining the domaine’s hallmark precision. The nose is lifted and aromatic, offering layers of cassis, dark cherry and wild berries, underscored by violet, subtle spice and a faint liquorice note. The palate is supple yet well-structured, with a finely textured framework supporting ripe red and dark fruit. There is a pleasing sense of energy and balance, with fresh acidity providing lift and a clear limestone-driven tension giving definition through the mid-palate. Tannins are polished and integrated, allowing the fruit to remain at the forefront. The finish is persistent and composed, carrying lingering fruit, gentle spice and a discreet savoury, lightly saline nuance that speaks to both site and thoughtful élevage.

Domaine Huguenot

In the heart of the quaint village of Marsannay-la-Côte, nestled in the northern reaches of the illustrious Côte de Nuits, near the charming town of Dijon, you'll discover Domaine HUGUENOT Père & Fils. This cherished estate is not just a family-run domaine; it's a living testament to a winemaking legacy that has spanned an astonishing ten generations. The domaine's vineyards stretch gracefully across the hallowed terroirs of Marsannay, Fixin, and Gevrey-Chambertin appellations, each one a chapter in the rich tapestry of Burgundian winemaking. Embracing a heritage of sustainable agriculture, Valérie and Philippe Huguenot, the dynamic duo leading this winemaking endeavor, cherish the legacy handed down to them. They stand in harmony with nature, paying homage to the toil of their forebears, and remaining deeply rooted in their family's winemaking traditions.
