The 2017 Crozes-Hermitage Domaine de Roure springs from a stunning granitic landscape, radiating a deep, vibrant purple hue. It unfolds with lush notes of black cherries and crème de cassis, intertwined with hints of graphite, delicate herbs, and blossoming flowers. This full-bodied vintage captivates with its underlying mineral richness, a testament to its rock-laden terroir.

Winemaking:Hand-picked, sorting on the plot, in small crates. The vatting period lasts around 4 weeks with gentle extractions. Aged in French oak barrels (20% new).

Viticulture:On steep south/south-west-facing granite slopes, 3.5 ha is cultivated with 40 to 60-year-old Syrah vines.

This has slate, graphite and dark berries with a fine, peppery nose and a wealth of rich red plums, wild raspberries and dark chocolate. The palate arrives as a spicy, sleek and attractively plush serving of ripe plums. Some spiced chocolate here, too. Super long, fresh and balanced.
