The Valereuss single batch Rye whisky opens with vinous aromas layered with hazelnut, fresh grass and vanilla, followed by subtle toffee notes that hint at oak influence. On the palate, the whisky presents a notably cool mouthfeel, moving into flavours of liquorice, saline notes and a distinctly dry, white-wine-like acidity, alongside earthy cereal tones typical of rye. The finish is firm and drying, driven by oaky almond, cracked black pepper and lingering grain-derived dryness, with persistent cardboard and wood notes underscoring its austere, uncompromising character.
