For more than 230 years, the Kühn family has cultivated the art of winemaking in the exceptional terroir of the Rheingau region. In the 1970s, Peter Jakob Kühn and Angela embraced the mission of crafting top-tier wines that authentically represented their 18 hectares of vineyards along the Rhine's banks. The 2017 Hallgartener Hendelberg Riesling offers an intense bouquet of exotic citrus fruits and a medley of spices. This light-bodied wine boasts a distinct flinty minerality, accompanied by refreshing acidity, and a multi-layered palate of flavours.

From a steep vineyard on colored slate at more than 300 meters in altitude, the 2017 Hallgarten Hendelberg Riesling trocken is clear, precise and intense on the delicately spicy-piquant nose with its still yeasty but perfectly ripe and aromatic fruit aromas. Concentrated, tight and fruity on the palate, this is a crystalline, persistently salty and densely woven Hendelberg with great finesse and purity and a lingering crunchy slate character. A fabulous wine already.
