Le Macchiole’s style is deeply rooted in the Bolgheri terroir, producing wines of distinctive character and originality. From the earliest vintages to the present, the estate has remained true to its philosophy: crafting wines that reflect their place with elegance, refinement, and longevity, allowing them to develop naturally over time. The 2019 Bolgheri Rosso is bright, expressive, and utterly captivating, with sweet floral and spice notes woven seamlessly into a core of red and purplish berries. Silky and mid-weight, it exudes charm, while the interplay of Bolgheri’s radiant terroir and Le Macchiole’s modern approach, favouring energy and vibrancy, makes this vintage exceptionally alluring.

Attractive perfumes of currants, berries, incense and flowers follow through to a medium body with firm, silky tannins and a bright finish. Some smoke and dark-earth undertones. A little tight at the end, but delicious already.
