Barleith 2020: Deep ruby with garnet edges, the nose opens with ripe wild berries, subtle herbs, pepper, and hints of liquorice and minerals. The palate is structured yet elegant, with fine tannins, bright acidity, and persistent dark‑berry flavours leading to a long, savoury finish. Amphora fermentation and biodynamic viticulture give the wine a compelling balance of power and finesse.

Wine Ageing:14 months in amphora clay vessels and 21 months in bottle.

Winemaking Style:Minimal intervention

Harvest:Hand harvested in small 15kg crates first week of October.

Winemaking:Spontaneous fermentation thanks to indigenous yeasts takes place in clay amphorae without temperature control. For the first 7 months, it macerates with the skins to extract gently the ripe tannins.

Viticulture:Vineyard "Barleith" is located at 300m above sea level on a slightly south-east facing terrace benefiting from the warm breezes of the nearby Lake Caldaro. The grapes grow on a soil rich in dolomite gravels.
