Ampelidae/Brochet

Ampelidæ, a trailblazer in the realm of organic viticulture within the Loire Valley, is committed to a collaborative mission aimed at producing wines of the highest caliber. The Meuli family, from Anglo-Swiss origins, first discovered this captivating region in 1990. This strategic location in the southern Loire Valley exposes their vines to a temperate oceanic climate, ensuring an abundance of diverse soils, each contributing to the wines' unique richness. In 2003, Kate & Benji chose to embark on the Ampelidæ journey, unifying the château, cellar, and its sprawling 200 hectares of farmland and vineyards. This union marked a significant milestone in their commitment to organic winemaking and their shared dedication to crafting exceptional wines. Over the course of many years, Kate Meuli has remained deeply engaged in the day-to-day operations of the teams. Her involvement spans various facets, including active participation in the harvest, extensive tasting sessions, hands-on work in the winery, and even contributing to the development of gastronomic menus.
