Tasting Notes

Gras Moutons is a cuvée sourced from a unique plot nestled on the slopes of Maine in Saint-Fiacre. These 7 hectares of vineyards, all in one piece, thrive on a bed of amphibolite, a distinctive greenish-blue metamorphic rock. This Muscadet Sèvre et Maine boasts a robust and generous character, delivering an abundance of extroverted flavors. The finish is graced with delightful ripe bitters and hints of praline, making it a particularly promising choice.

Domaine Haute Févrie

Domaine Haute Févrie estate lies at the very heart of the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation, southeast of the charming city of Nantes. Nestled on the picturesque slopes of the Sèvre River, between Saint-Fiacre and Monnières, this vineyard enjoys the perfect conditions for its vines to eloquently express their terroir. Sébastien Branger, the fourth generation of vintners in his family, inherited a profound respect for the land from his father and grandfather. His journey was guided by the wisdom of observation, a tireless dedication to learning, and a singular purpose – to cultivate the finest grapes. The estate achieved organic certification in 2015, a testament to Sébastien's commitment to reducing ecological impact while nurturing the growth of ripe, healthy grapes. Domaine Haute Févrie stands as a testament to the harmonious blend of tradition, sustainability, and a dedication to producing wines that truly reflect the land they call home.
