Tasting Notes

Situated in Savigny-lès-Beaune, to the north of the Côte de Beaune, Domaine Jean-Michel Giboulot proudly manages 12 hectares of vineyards across the finest appellations, including Beaune 1er Cru, Pommard, Savigny 1er Cru, and Savigny-lès-Beaune, with a predominant focus on Pinot Noir. This wine, adorned with a deep cherry hue accented by alluring garnet highlights, is a masterpiece. Its bouquet is a symphony of small red and black fruits, entwined with delicate floral notes of blackcurrant, cherry, and raspberry, reminiscent of violets in bloom. The palate is full and carries subtle tannins, all the while retaining the essence of the fruit. At times, a faint trace of Morello cherry may make a charming appearance. What truly defines this wine is its roundness, voluminous presence, inherent power, and exquisite balance that brings all elements into harmonious unity.
