Harvest:2020 was a challenging vintage on many fronts. Frosts were followed by windy conditions during flowering and then a hailstorm that ripped through the region causing significant damage in early November just as the vines were hitting their prime ripening period. Whilst yields were significantly down, 2020 will be remembered as a vintage of extremely good quality. The grapes were harvested late at night to ensure they are as cold as possible to minimise spoilage.

Winemaking:The fruit was pressed immediately using modern tank presses. After cold settling, the clear juice was carefully transferred to cooled fermentation tanks and inoculated with selected yeasts. Cool fermentation was followed by minimal handling, a light filtration and bottling.

Viticulture:From the Nanya Vineyard near Paringa, South Australia. The grapes are grown on sandy loam over limestone soils.

Food Pairing:Quinoa Salad, Grilled, Chicken Souvlaki, Mediterranean Roasted Vegetables, Grilled Octopus With Lemon And Olive Oil, Seafood Risotto, Spanakopita (Spinach Pie), Greek Salad With Feta And Olives, Tzatziki And Pita Bread

The Real Review - Stuart Knox

Pale straw-yellow hue. White flowers and bruised apples on the nose. Soft and simple on the palate. Acidity hides in the background but offers enough drive to clean up the finish
