Harvest:Overall, the 2018 vintage in McLaren Vale produced wine of excellent quality and while total tonnages were down for the season, compared to a wet and fertile 2017, the reports from winemakers on wine quality has been almost universally positive.

Winemaking:The grapes were crushed and then fermented in small open vessels. The wine was pumped over the skin cap twice daily, to entice as much colour and flavour from the skins. Then wine was pumped into older small French oak barrels to finish ferment and spend time maturing for approximately 6 moths, before settling and going to bottle.

Intense purple hue. Dry earth, mocha and black cherries on the nose. Forward fruit, plush and bright. Good acid line keeping it fresh with a fine tannic structure to give length. Simple but fills the value proposition well
