Wine Ageing:Matured 9 months in old French barriques and puncheons

Winemaking Style:Modern

Harvest:Hand picked grapes were harvested early in the morning.

Winemaking:The grapes were de-stemmed pressed direct to tank. Juice was settled for 24 hours and racked while still cloudy before being inoculated with a select strain of yeast. The juice was then transferred to seasoned French oak barrels for fermentation. The wine was aged on lees without stirring before being stabilised, filtered and bottled.

Viticulture:Tellurian Marsanne is picked later in the season where Heathcote’s warm days and cool nights helps to capture the expressive flavour offered by this variety.

Food Pairing:Chicken Alfredo, grilled scampi, baked halibut with lemon dill sauce, grilled chicken caesar salad, roast turkey with herbed gravy, lobster bisque, lemon herb roasted chicken, pan seared trout with brown butter sauce, grilled scallops with garlic and herbs

The Real Review - Huon Hooke

Light to medium, bright yellow colour. There are mineral and buttery aromas and the palate is rich and full-bodied, deep and broad at the same moment, the concentrated flavour backed up by bracing phenolics and the finish is firm and lingering and emphatic as a result. Very good. It could take a solid chill and would find its place with food.

Halliday Companion - Jeni Port

Barrel fermented and matured 9 months in old French barriques and puncheons. On the riper side for marsanne but resists the urge to be oily. Instead, some pretty smart, bright acidity steps in as a contrasting influence. Honeysuckle, stone fruits, beeswax and honey aromas. The palate is smooth and softly textured with yellow peach, lemon butter and spice.
