Tasting Notes

Deep crimson red colour. The nose displays charcuterie notes, slightly charry oak, and expressive dark fruit. The medium bodied palate is round and plush with dark fruit, and blackberry combining with spice and soft tannins, making it a wine that's very approachable in its youth.

The Wine Front - Campbell Mattinson

A neat, compact, flavoursome shiraz with baked plum and asphalt flavours matched to clove and sweet cedar. There’s an evenness to this wine, a balance, that makes for highly pleasurable drinking. Style-wise it’s ripe and rich but it feels modern and it also feels fresh.

Halliday Companion - Jeni Port

Fermented in open concrete, oak and stainless-steel vats; mlf and 10 months' maturation in French and American oak (5% new). A bit of an easygoing charmer here with a slight savoury flourish to add extra interest. Black cherry/berry through and through, with a thread of red licorice, dark chocolate, earth and leather. Plenty of flavour on board.
