Domaine Laurent Habrard

Laurent Habrard carries the legacy of five generations of vintners in the esteemed Habrard family. His journey into the world of winemaking began during his childhood, where he spent countless hours assisting at the family estate. In 1998, the reins of the estate were handed over to Laurent, as he took the helm from his parents. Today, he is the guardian of the 15 hectares of vineyards. A significant milestone in the vineyard's journey occurred in 2008 when Laurent initiated the transition to organic viticulture. This shift is a testament to Laurent's commitment to minimizing the environmental impact on the vineyard. He often expresses that this conversion is a way of extending an apology to Mother Nature. Every year, Laurent explores and adopts new techniques, drawing inspiration from the principles of permaculture and biodynamics. Since 2012, Laurent has embraced a sulfite-free approach during fermentations, with 90-95% of aging processes conducted without sulfites. Only a small dose is introduced at the time of bottling.
