Vina Ijalba

Viña Ijalba, an embodiment of innovation, environmental stewardship, and Rioja's essence. Since the 1970s, the Ruiz Ijalba family has cultivated grapes of unrivaled quality in poor soils. Founder Dionisio Ruiz Ijalba's shift from mining to vineyards transformed their destiny. With 90 hectares in DOCa Rioja, Viña Ijalba has led in organic viticulture since 1994, becoming the region's first organic winery in 1998. Their dedication to organics reflects a return to traditional viticulture. In 1991, Viña Ijalba's modern winery embraced technology to honor terroir and heritage. They boldly conserve indigenous grapes, craft world-class wines, and introduce single-varietal expressions from minority vines like Graciano, Maturana Blanca, Maturana Tinta, and Tempranillo Blanca. Every sip embodies their commitment to land, maker, and Rioja's winemaking heritage.
