Robert Parker

The 2021 Oscar's Branco is a screw-capped blend of Gouveio (37%), Viosinho (33%) and others, all unoaked and coming in at 12.85% alcohol. (Kudos to the winery for being transparent about the blend right on the label.) Fruity and fresh, this is a clean and pure white that should go well in warm weather and on its own. There's not a lot of energy, but it has a sunny demeanor and tastes great. Drink it on the younger side for best results. It's worth leaning up for the moment.

Quevedo (Trovisca)

In the heart of the Douro Valley, a passionate team of wine enthusiasts, rooted in generations of tradition, come together under the banner of Quevedo Family. They aren't just wine producers; they are storytellers and cultivators of "Friendology" - the art of cherishing moments with family and friends without pretense or airs. While the Quevedo lineage has crafted Port Wine for over five generations, the contemporary face of the company only emerged in 1993. Raised amidst the lush vineyards and aging barrels, siblings Cláudia and Oscar Quevedo (Jr.) naturally embraced their family's wine legacy. Cláudia Quevedo, an enology graduate from the University of Vila Real, has been crafting Port wines at Quevedo since 1998. Bearing the legacy of the Douro Valley, they carry forward the values passed down from their forebears, deeply rooted in respecting the fertile lands that have sustained them. Now, as stewards for the next generation, their commitment to sustainability and legacy has never been stronger.
