This wine has an attractive delivery of flavour, it has a touch of spice, brine, dry pear and crunchy apple notes. The wine is a great example of how Pinot Gris should taste with great flavours and an appealing mouth feel.

Winemaking:The fruit was whole bunch pressed. Partly (28%) fermented in oak barrels for 6 months. Tiny berries produced wonderfully concentrated fruit flavours which were preserved by fermenting the wine at cool temperatures.

Viticulture:From the vineyards located near Nelson at the top of the South Island of New Zealand.

Richmond Plains enriches the soil and vines with biological brews and compost teas. They manage diseases through the introduction of natural beneficial organisms like Trichoderma and Bacilus Subtilus, outcompeting undesirable organisms. Richmond Plains' vibrant and verdant vineyard creates an inviting habitat for various native birds, lizards, and butterflies, such as the Monarch and Admiral.
