Tasting Notes

Light plum-red in colour. Lifted aromas of raspberry, cherry, plum and wild strawberry combine with subtle savoury, earthy notes. Medium-bodied palate highlighted by vibrant red fruits, elegant texture and mouthfeel, with soft, plush tannins and well-balanced acidity providing a moreish finish.

Another juicy and affable red from Tellurian, highlighting the region's natural affinity with shiraz, here in unison with good mates grenache and mourvèdre. They're a lively, spicy bunch. Deep Heathcote colour. Floral scents rise from the glass joined by macerated cherries, plums and spice. Flows easily across the palate with texture, a light toasty influence and even-handed tannins.

It’s a warm-hearted wine with plenty going on. Tar, graphite, clove and black cherry/plum flavours provide plenty to tuck into, alcohol warmth perhaps thinning the finish a touch. It remains satisfying, and feels polished. Good texture here too.

The Real Review - Stuart Knox

Deep ruby-red colour with a vibrant purple rim. A fragrant nose of crushed blueberries and violets. The palate is driven by fleshy blueberry fruit, some layers of smoky minerals give interest and the tannins are firm enough to dry the finish, if not quite enough to drive it particularly long. Still, a good glass of approachable red.
