Building on the winemaker’s philosophy of minimal intervention to preserve the vineyard’s geology, climate and true sense of place, this cool-climate Chardonnay opens with lifted aromas of lemon curd, white nectarine and struck match, edged by flint and almond skin. The palate follows with taut, mineral-driven precision, layering grapefruit pith, green melon and subtle oak spice. Lees ageing adds a chalky, savoury texture that complements the wine’s brisk natural acidity, carrying it through a long and composed finish. A Chardonnay of clarity, restraint and quiet power, with the structure to evolve gracefully in bottle.

Winemaking Style:Minimal Intervention

Harvest:2022 brought a cool, wet growing season with steady canopy development and careful disease management. A dry autumn window allowed clean picking, producing Chardonnay with subtle flavour, bright natural acidity and elegant, finely structured balance.

Winemaking:The juice was gently pressed to French oak barrels - a mix of new, 1st and 2nd fill to give around 30% new oak. Indigenous yeasts completed fermentation in around 21 days.

Viticulture:From pristine terroir from the diverse climates of the Canberra District, with premium single-vineyard wines from the Estate owned vineyards in Bungendore and Murrumbateman.

Food Pairing:Roast poultry, gnocchi with sage butter, pan seared barramundi.
