Barahonda
Nestled within the D.O. Yecla, where the Altiplano region meets the Mediterranean, Barahonda paints a vivid picture of a unique terroir. Over the years, this appelation has emerged as a beacon of distinction, for the quality of wines crafted from the indigenous Monastrell grape. For a century, the Candela Family has lovingly crafted wines here. Their journey began with Antonio Candela Garcia in 1925 and continues today with the fourth generation at the helm: Antonio and Alfredo, aided by the expertise of chief winemaker Augustin Carrion. Together, they uphold the uncompromising standard of excellence that defines Barahonda. The winerys hallmark lies in the creation of wines that are structured, expressive, and brimming with vibrant color and flavor. At Barahonda, the spirit of winemaking is intertwined with the land itself. Each bottle is a testament to meticulous vineyard cultivation, a tribute to the terroir, and a reflection of the care that define this winemaking legacy.
