Tasting Notes

Produced from biodynamically grown vineyard at Grosset’s Rockwood Vineyard, this extraordinary Fiano greets the senses with riotously intense aromatics, waves of lively beeswax perfume, and lingering complexity. Derived from specific Campanian clones planted on poor, restrictive soils, the wine develops candied honey notes through the mid-palate while finishing dry, intense, and long. On the palate, layers of white peach, quince, and mineral undertones unfold with remarkable clarity, complemented by the signature beeswax character that builds to an almost ethereal finish. Natural acidity provides balance and lift, allowing the concentrated fruit and textural weight to shine without overpowering the palate. This unfined, vegan- and vegetarian-friendly expression showcases Grosset’s meticulous biodynamic viticulture and minimal-intervention approach, producing a Fiano of remarkable purity, precision, and finesse.

Grosset Wines

Grosset Wines is a small family-run operation in the Clare Valley. Now in its fifth decade, both winery and vineyards are A-Grade Certified Organic and Biodynamic (ACO). story began with a vision that wouldn’t let go: a 15-year-old Jeffrey Grosset captivated by the simple yet profound image of hands planting a vine cutting into soil. That moment planted a seed that would grow into an unwavering belief—exceptional wine starts with choosing precisely the right place and nurturing it with meticulous care. The unwavering vision is to create pure expressions of variety and place. The four estate owned vineyards, all planted by Grosset, are located in high altitude country of the Clare Valley. Each site is selected for its potential to produce pure persistent, delicious wines. Production is tiny. Authenticity is assured.
