Tasting Notes

Sothis Gin is the artisan gin from Rhône‑Valley estate M. Chapoutier, distilled from organic estate-grown grapes and wild botanicals harvested on the vineyards. Infused with juniper, wild thyme, chamomile, verbena and other wild herbs, then slowly distilled and refined with spring water from Ardèche volcanoes. Expect a finely spiced nose evolving into floral‑exotic notes (chamomile, mango), a palate of citrus, herbal spice and robust juniper, and a long, fresh herbal‑mineral finish.

Distillation:The process starts with a first batch of botanicals macerated in the grape alcohol for 24 hours, then the rest of the botanicals (including juniper) are added and the mixture is distilled for over 4 hours. This careful, long distillation allows each botanical to express itself fully and integrates the botanical flavours harmoniously.
