Roche aux Moines is a historic and iconic vineyard in Savennières, where Chenin Blanc finds its most powerful and precise expression. Rooted in deep schist soils and kissed by the Loire’s breezes, this steep, sunlit slope yields wines of striking minerality, energy, and age-worthy elegance. This museum release from Domaine FL, 2014 shows a compelling nose of quince, green apple, and acacia honey, flowing into a palate of dense fruit, fine acidity, and soft, chalky minerality; deeply structured and endlessly fascinating, it remains vibrant and layered—an outstanding aged Chenin Blanc with exceptional harmony and finesse.

Viticulture:This legendary vineyard combines poor, stony soils with exceptional sun exposure and natural drainage, creating ideal conditions for Chenin Blanc to thrive. The vines, rooted deep into layers of ancient schist and volcanic rock, yield wines of remarkable intensity, tension, and longevity.
