Tasting Notes

Domaine Huguenot Marsannay Champs Perdrix 2021 presents a poised and articulate expression of Pinot Noir from the northern Côte de Nuits. The bouquet is finely detailed, opening on lifted red cherry and wild berry fruit, interwoven with subtle floral tones and a discreet touch of spice. On the palate, the wine is precise and structured, with a fine-grained tannic frame supporting a core of fresh red currant and plum. There is a clear sense of limestone-derived tension, lending both energy and definition to the mid-palate. The élevage is judicious, allowing fruit purity and site expression to remain at the forefront. The finish is persistent and balanced, marked by a delicate savoury nuance and a faint saline edge, reinforcing the wine’s overall elegance and terroir transparency.
