Tasting Notes

Sylvain Loichet hails from a long-established family in the Côte de Beaune. In 2005, after completing his oenology studies in Beaune, the 22-year-old returned to take over his grandparents’ vineyards, soon converting them to organic cultivation. Today, the domaine also operates as a boutique négociant, working closely with selected growers across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, an approach Sylvain playfully describes as “Négoce Haute-Couture.” The wines show remarkable purity and precision, expressing the freshness and mineral tension of their origins. On the nose, delicate floral tones mingle with red berry fruit and fine spice. The palate is vibrant and layered, offering silky tannins, bright acidity, and a refined oak touch that enhances rather than dominates. The finish is long, elegant, and savoury hallmarks of Loichet’s understated and authentic style.
