Tasting Notes

Nestled along the picturesque Loire River, on the renowned clay and limestone terroir of Saumur-Champigny appellation, Château de Parnay has proudly crafted exceptional wines for over two centuries. Grounded in their unwavering commitment to authenticity. Blason Rouge presents itself with a deep ruby color that carries a subtle garnet undertone, indicating the exceptional health and maturity of the Cabernet Franc grapes. The nose of this wine is a harmonious blend of power and freshness, offering a complex bouquet dominated by lightly preserved red fruits such as strawberries, raspberries, and cherries. It also exudes the characteristic floral aromas of the Loire Valley terroir, including violet, iris, and rose. Upon tasting, Blason Rouge reveals its round, sweet, full, and generous character, with a final touch of silky tannins that seamlessly blend into its harmonious structure, which is primarily defined by the presence of red fruits. This remarkable wine embodies the spirit of spring and serves as a prime example of the exceptional wines Northern France has to offer.
