Perusini

The Perusini Winery stands as a distinguished member of the exclusive circle of historic Italian winegrowers, a select group curated by esteemed wine critic Luigi Veronelli, comprising a mere 50 members. it is no mere coincidence that the earliest known medieval representation of grape harvesting and vinification in Friuli graces a fresco adorning the Perusini-Antonini House in Udine, dating back to the 14th century. At the helm of this storied winery today is Teresa. At Perusini, the production of wine is predominantly reliant on their meticulously cultivated vineyards. These vineyards, perched on hill terraces, thrive on eocenic marl, locally known as "ponca" in Friuli. The firm conviction at Perusini is that crafting exceptional wines commences with the nurturing of the vineyard. The same ardor that guided the company in the past now fuels the family team that manages the winery. Their approach harmoniously blends a deep respect for tradition and nature with a commitment to ongoing research.
