Tasting Notes

The Fiano grape variety boasts a rich history in the Apulia region, tracing its origins back eight centuries to a feast hosted by Frederick II, who famously requested more of this exquisite wine. Fiano is celebrated for producing white wines that are structured, complex, and well-suited for aging. These wines exhibit a charming straw-yellow hue in appearance. The nose is intricate and develops beautifully over time, revealing an array of aromas, including apple, fennel, mint, lime, pear, hazelnut, almond, acacia, and honey. On the palate, Fiano offers a refreshing and savoury experience, making it a remarkable choice for discerning wine enthusiasts.

Cantine Losito

In the 1950s and 1960s, the Losito family embarked on their journey, drawn to the picturesque Terre del Gargano in northern Apulia. Here, they found the perfect amalgamation of seas, mountains, fertile land, and an idyllic climate for nurturing top-quality grapes. This enchanting backdrop sowed the seeds of Cantine Losito. A pivotal moment arrived in 1998 when they made the audacious choice to transition to organic farming, prioritizing the well-being of the environment and the creation of healthier grapes. The third generation, represented by Giovanni and Aurelia, wholeheartedly embraced the family's rich legacy. Giovanni, an accomplished oenologist, manages vineyard care and winemaking alongside his father. Meanwhile, Aurelia passionately focuses on expanding Cantine Losito's global footprint. Today, the Losito family proudly tends to 60 hectares in the Terre del Gargano, producing exceptional wines exclusively from their own organic grapes. Their story is one of deep-rooted tradition, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
