Tasting Notes

A significant historical site in the Douro area is Quinta de Pedra Escrita. A inscribed stone (pedra escrita) was erected during the time the appellation's boundaries were defined as a reminder of the important places of the area. Today, Rui Roboredo Madeira descendent of a 8th generation Douro tradition, is setting the pace for the growing quality of Portuguese wines, having reached for Portugal some of the most disputed awards in the world of wines, from "Top 10 Wine Spectator" to "Best White Wine "at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. Reserva White 2019: Bright citrus and mineral aromas meet hints of grapefruit and exotic fruits, subtly accented by oak. The palate is fresh and lively, blending vivid acidity with creamy barrique notes, hinting at potential longevity.
