Tasting Notes

In the D.O. Alella, Spain's smallest appellation and home to a tight-knit group of eight producers across 240 hectares, a treasured family-run winery stands out. Since 1991, the Pujol-Busquets family has been passionately producing certified organic wines and cava. This Red dessert wine unfold a symphony of aromas, where ripe prunes, plums, and dried figs take the center stage, subtly accented by notes of orange peel. What sets their creations apart is their remarkable ability to achieve a harmonious balance between tannins, alcohol, fruit, and acidity.

Alta Alella · Celler de les Aus

In the heart of Catalonia, the Pujol-Busquets family, Josep Maria, Cristina Guillén, and their daughters, Mireia and Georgina, shape the story of Alta Alella Mirgin. Their journey began in 1991 when they acquired the CAN GENÍS estate, breathing life into forgotten vineyards, and planting Pansa Blanca and Mataró varieties. Today, their fifty hectares of organic vineyards span Alella and Tiana, rooted in a commitment to certified organic farming. Alta Alella stands as the pioneering sulfite-free winemaker in the DO Cava appellation since 2006. Under CELLER DE LES AUS, they craft "transparent" wines, mirroring soil and vintage nuances. Manual harvesting, with meticulous ripeness checks, ensures each grape variety reaches its pinnacle before harvest.
