Harvest:Hand-harvested in small 15kg crates in late August to early September.

Winemaking:Fermented spontaneously in large 25hl barrels and aged in stainless steel, the wine is left on the lees until spring.

Viticulture:Selected Riesling grapes from the calcareous steep slopes of the Zellertal around Hohen-Sülzen in the Wonnegau.

Food Pairing:Fresh oysters with mignonette sauce, Stir-fried glass noodles, Pork and chive dumplings, Coconut lemongrass soup, Scallop ceviche, Sashimi platter, Steamed seabass with soy and ginger.

An excellent dry estate riesling with strident chalky minerality. Compact and well structured, with as much depth as many village wines from this vintage. With a little aeration you have generous mirabelle and citrus aromas. Very good length, everything fitting beautifully at the finish.
