The Real Review - Aaron Brasher

Dark and youthful in the glass. Aromas of plums, blackberry, pot-pourri, spice, violets and menthol. Full, round and quite fleshy fruit, stewed plum, boysenberry, cedar and tannins that are round and shapely and give the right amount of firmness.

Battle of Bosworth

Battle of Bosworth Wines draws inspiration from the historic Battle of Bosworth in 1485 and the demise of Richard III. Joch Bosworth, the driving force behind the winery, is recognized as a prominent organic winemaker and grape grower. His dedication to organic practices began due to a discomfort with synthetic chemicals and a belief in traditional farming methods suited for McLaren Vale. The vineyards, featuring Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Mourvèdre, are fully certified organic, embracing sustainable weed management and re-vegetation projects for biodiversity. Joch Bosworth's commitment to innovation, environmental sustainability, and grape growing excellence earned him the title of McLaren Vale's grape grower of the year in 2008.
