Tasting Notes

"Staying close to nature is what I do. My only job is to recognise the right moment. For 30 years now, I've been accompanying the grapes on their way from the vineyard to the bottle. I know now: my work mainly consists of observation and ensuring healthy grapes grow in harmony with the surroundings while our farm animals complete the cycle of a lively farm ecosystem." - Andreas Dichristin, Vigneron. RosèMarie 2020 Anphora has a beautiful cherry red laced colour with shades of coppery tones. On the nose raspberries, wild strawberries, citrus fruits, flowers, aromatic herbs, white pepper and hints of oriental spices. There are also mineral and balsamic hints to complete the olfactory picture of an intense, complex and fine nose. On the palate it has energy, it is warm and juicy, with a clear expressive imprint in which the complex richness already found on the nose is well balanced by freshness and a marked sapidity, for long pleasant sips.

Tropfltalhof

Tropfltalhof, or the "House of the Dripping Valley," finds its name deeply rooted in the intrinsic nature of the place. Located in the Alps gifted region of Alto Adige, Andreas Dichristin, the custodian of this sanctuary, has spent over three decades in communion with the vines, guiding them on their journey from the vineyard to the bottle. Through the years, he has come to realize that a substantial portion of his work entails the art of observation. Biodynamics, to him, is more than a method of cultivation; it's a holistic evolution of the farmer and his estate, or "Maso." In this intricate system, man assumes a role as an integral, non-dominant part of the grand tapestry of nature. The essence of Andreas's quest is a wine infused with vibrant energy. To achieve this, he understands the paramount importance of allowing nature to take center stage, letting it unfold its narrative and revealing its secrets. In every bottle from Tropfltalhof, nature's story is told, a tale of authenticity, vitality, and a profound connection to the land.
